My dad was a mobile DJ for weddings/parties/events when I was growing up. He started his own business called Erijess music (me and my sister, Jessica’s, names combined) and he was gone every weekend.

There’s old videos of my sister and I dancing in the living room while my dad had his music equipment in the house, blasting music. My favorite was when he would record himself talking in between songs as if he was running a radio station. Sometimes he would let my sister and I say something, and we would eagerly and nervously wait until he pointed at us to say our “lines”. I wish I could get my hands on those 8mm tapes.

He would always smell like cologne and cigarettes before he left for an event, so this candle encompasses all of it: tobacco, vanilla, mahogany teakwood.

Want your candle to last longer with minimal soot? Make sure you trim the wick to 1/8"-1/4” before every single new burn (our wick trimmers are perfect for this!)

During the burning process, carbon builds up on the wicks. This is a normal process, however if you re-light a wick that has this carbon build up it can cause excess soot and heat. This yields a lower quality candle performance. (If you have ever noticed black smoke sticking to the sides of your glass candles in the past, this is why!)

Each Item is handmade by me in my small apartment in Murrieta, Ca. Because all of these items are handmade, they may have some imperfections such as: minor discoloration of the wax, slightly off-centered label, tiny markings on the outside of the jar, etc. None of these impact the quality of the candle. Please also be aware that some fragrances promote rusting of the inside of the candle tins (another normal scientific process).
